Yaks take down Lady Titans

KENNEWICK, WA - The winning streak for the Lane Women's Basketball season ended at twelve, but the season continues on.  Yakima Valley upset the Lady Titans in a 73-57 win on Sunday night.  The numbers and percentages were fairly close on both teams, but ultimately Yakima Valley's 30-9 three-point advantage and 18 points off of turnovers were the demise of the Lane Women.  Megan Shields had a big night with 20 points and 9 rebounds.  Courtney Walchli added 10 points and 6 rebounds on the night.  The Lady Titans will play Skagit Valley (21-7, 15-1) at 2pm on Monday, in which the loser will be out of the Tournament.  The winner will play on Tuesday at noon in the 5th/6th place game against Blue Mountain or Clackamas.
