Wilcox sparks Titans’ victory

Jordan Wilcox scored 22 points off the bench to lead the second-ranked Lane Community College women’s basketball game to an 89-58 win against visiting Umpqua on Wednesday in the Titans’ home finale.
Wilcox made seven three-pointers and was 7-for-13 from the field overall. Megan Shields also scored 16 for the Titans, who improved to 25-2 overall and 11-2 in the South Region of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges.
Rachel Sample and Kyndal Charleston each scored 15 to lead the Riverhawks (17-9, 7-6), who shot just 24.3 percent from the floor.
Lane will close out the regular season on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Portland.
