Jacia Jointer scores 19 for the Lane women in their win against Highline 

AUBURN, Wash. — Lane struggled from the field but found its touch at the free-throw line to defeat Highline 59-57 on Friday to advance to today’s championship game at the Green River Crossover women’s basketball tournament.

Jacia Jointer hit 12-of-16 free throws, including 10-of-12 in the second half, on her way to 19 points for the Titans. Lane, which trailed 35-31 at halftime and took its first lead with 4½ minutes to go, shot a meager 30 percent from the field and 11 percent from three-point range. Jordan Kimbrough added 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Titans.

Brittany Barrington and Ionna Price each scored 12 points for Highline.

Lane will play Treasure Valley at 4 p.m. today for the tournament title.
