Titans take two from Lakers

Tucker Campbell had a double and a triple, Kyle Beam hit a home run and Lane rolled to 13-6 victory over Southwestern Oregon in the second game of an NWAACC South Region baseball doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
The Titans also won the opener, 2-1, to improve to 22-10 overall and 12-6 in conference play, which is tied for first in the South Region standings with Clark. The Lakers (17-15, 12-7) dropped to third in the conference after entering the day in first.
Campbell (3-for-4) and Erik Long (2-for-3) each had multiple hits and scored twice for Lane in the nightcap.
Travis Kelley (2-0) earned the pitching victory in relief of starter Jackson Bertsch. Kelley has not given up a run in 13 innings this season.
In the opener, Jeff Hardy (5-2) pitched seven complete innings of one-run baseball and struck out eight batters with no walks to lead the Titans.
Long and Colby Rice each hit doubles in the victory.
