Titans qualify for USATF Outdoors

Two Lane Community College track and field athletes and one coach have qualified for the USATF national outdoor championships over the next two weeks.

 

Freshman high jumper Dakarai Hightower’s personal best of 7 feet, 3 1/4 inches ranks 15th going into the USATF Outdoor Championships that begin Thursday in Sacramento. He’ll be joined by Travis Thompson, Lane’s sprint coach, who has qualified in the 800.

 

Also, freshman Nicole Maurmann will run the 3,000 meters at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field on July 5-6.
