
Titans' bats come up huge against Clackamas
04/10/2012 21:39OREGON CITY, OR - Lane Baseball had a total of 71 at bats with 31 total hits and 21 RBIs for two big victories over the Cougars in Tuesday's double-header. In game one, the Titans had a 9-5 lead going into the top of the ninth before scoring 13 more for a 22-5 annihilation of Clackamas. Spencer Smith got the most RBIs with 4 while going 5-for-7. Tyler Johnson got the win for the Titans pitching one full inning.
Lane continued the hitting and scoring in Game 2 getting three runs in the first 2 innings alone, and then getting a couple more to secure a 5-0 victory. Shawn Boehm (pictured) went 4-for-4 with a HR, 3 doubles, and 2 RBIs. Dan Katayama went 2-for-4 and Nate Mays went 2-for-3. Titan's pitcher Zach Kayser threw 6 innings in the win, while Jordan Cameron pitched 5 innings in the loss for the Cougars.
The 2 wins keep the Titans atop the Southern Region with a 6-0 record and 12-4 season record. Lane will have one day off before heading to Gresham to face Mt. Hood in an April 3rd make-up double-header at 1pm on Thursday, 4/12.
