Titans Baseball splits with Yakima

YAKIMA, WA - In game one of the double-header, Jordan van Engers and the Lane Titans win 9-2 over the Yaks.  Van Engers pitched a one-hitter through 5 innings in the win.  Alex Cornwell continued to hit well going 2-of-4 with a double.  Blake Montague also had a great day at the plate going 2-of-3.  Game 2 ended up being a disappointing 6-3 first loss for the Titans.  The losing pitcher was Colben McGuire, and Alex Cornwell's double and sacrifice fly weren't quite enough to help the cause.  The loss puts Lane at 3-1 on the year.  Their next game will be a double-header at Lower Columbia on Sunday, 3/11 starting @ noon.
