During a season when freshman have played a predominant role in an undefeated start, three sophomores led the Lady Titans to a 82-69 semi-final win at the Chemeketa Holiday Classic over the defending NWAACC champs Columbian Basin College.  Megan Shields (Sherwood, OR.) had a triple-double as she scored 17 pts and grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked a school record 11 shots to lead the team.  Kersey Wilcox (Prineville, OR.) scored 18 pts, dished out a team high 10 assists and went 10-for-12 from the free throw line.  Lastly, Jordan Wilcox (Prineville, OR.) scored 12 pts including going 3-for-4 from the three point line.

The Titans started slow going down 7-0 early in the first half, but a three pointer by freshman Simone Thompson got them on the board.  Consistent play throughout the first half led to seven point halftime lead.

Lane turned up the pressure in the second half causing several key turnovers and built up as much as an eighteen point lead on a couple occasions.  Sierra Higheagle, the Hawks 5'8" guard, led all scorers in the game with 29 pts and keep the game interesting before the Titans finished off their thirteenth consecutive victory.

The Titans play for the championship today at 4pm against their Southern Region foe, Chemeketa CC Storm.  The Titans are looking to collect their fourth preseason tournament title  this campaign.
