Snook leads Lane into championship game

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Shelby Snook scored 34 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out six assists to lead the Lane Community College women’s basketball team to an 80-70 overtime victory against Highline in the semifinals of the Bulldog Classic on Saturday.

Marikah Wright added 13 points and Gabby Heehn had 10 for the Titans (5-1), who will face Umpqua in today’s 3 p.m. championship game. Jada Piper led Highline with 14 points and Allie Weathersby chipped in 13 for the Thunderbirds, who were outscored 12-2 in the overtime period.
