Schmidt leads Titans into final

The Lane women will play host Skagit Valley for the Crossover Tournament title

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Danielle Schmidt scored 17 points and the Lane Community College women’s basketball team cruised into the championship game of the Skagit Valley Crossover Tournament with a 60-46 victory against Spokane on Saturday night.

The Titans led 33-17 at halftime and were up by as many as 24 points late in the second half to improve to 7-2 on the season.

Joleen Chanco also had 12 points for Lane and Courtney Walchli added 11 points.

The Titans will face host Skagit Valley today at 3 p.m.
