The Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) has deemed North Eugene grad and Lane Cross Country runner, Rachel Jensen, Women's Athlete of the Week for 9/24-30. This award is a result of coaches nominating and voting on athlete's performances at their respective competitions throughout the week. Rachel's award came as a result of her performance at the Linfield Preview XC meet on 9/25. She covered the 6k course in 24:08 (6:24/mile) and placed 5th overall. The comments made regarding her performance were as follows:
"A 5th place finish with several four year schools in attendance."
"Rachel’s first 6k ever. She started at back of pack with team and moved up entire time."
