Portland tops Titans

PORTLAND — Dominique Bates scored just before halftime, and goalkeeper Juan De Dios Inzunza made it stand up to give Portland Community College a 1-0 victory over Lane in an NWAC Southern Region game on Wednesday.

Bates scored off a pass from Germachu Hamaya in the 43rd minute for the Panthers.

De Dios Inzunza had three saves and earned the shutout in goal for Portland.
