Playoffs next stop for Titans’ women

Lane’s soccer team downs Southwestern Oregon 1-0 in regular-season finale

COOS BAY — Karlee Willcox scored off a pass from Taylor Boyer in the 52nd minute to give Lane a 1-0 victory over Southwestern Oregon in the NWAC Southern Region regular-season women’s soccer finale on Saturday.

Erica Cogburn earned her ninth shutout of the season in goal for the Titans.

Lane (14-2-2), the winner of the Southern Region for the first time in school history, will play host for a playoff quarterfinal Nov. 8 against the Shoreline-North Idaho winner. Those two teams will play on Wednesday.
