Lane shuts down Clackamas 4-0 to clinch league soccer crown

OREGON CITY — Lane scored three goals in the first half to win its seventh straight game, beating Clackamas 4-0 to claim the Titans’ first NWAC Southern Region women’s soccer title in school history.

Karlee Willcox, Taylor Boyer and Jordan Hevern all scored in the first half, and the Titans cruised to win the regional championship with two games remaining in the regular season. The crown gives Lane a first-round bye in the Northwest Athletic Conference playoffs and a home game in the quarterfinals.

Anna Goodrie scored for Lane (11-2-2) in the second half, and Erica Cogburn earned the shutout in goal.

The Titans play at Chemeketa on Saturday, then play a noncounting match against Linfield to end their home schedule on Tuesday.
