Middleton leads Lane men at Green River

AUBURN, Wash. — Keynan Middleton scored 24 of his game-high 31 points off the bench in the first half to lead Lane Community College to a 90-59 men’s basketball quarterfinal victory over Olympic at the Green River Crossover Tournament on Friday.

Alex MacNeil and Jeff Fields added 11 points each and Tyler Coleman had seven assists for the Titans (9-2), who will play Yakima Valley at 5 p.m. today in the semfinals. The Yaks defeated South Puget Sound, 83-73, in Friday’s first quarterfinal game.

In Friday’s other games, Everett defeated Wenatchee Valley, 97-85, and Green River beat Portland, 75-61, so Everett and Green River will play at 7 p.m. today in the second semifinal. The championship game is 4 p.m. Sunday, after the 2 p.m. consolation game.
