Martin takes third in 10,000 at Linfield meet

McMINNVILLE —Lane’s Michael Martin captured third place in the men’s 10,000 meters on the first day of the Linfield Icebreaker track and field meet Friday.

Martin finished in 30 minutes, 56.54 seconds in the 44-man field. Portland’s Michael Teran-Solano won in 30:39.85.

Northwest Christian’s Melissa Rios finished in eighth place in the women’s 10,000 meters (40:20.96).

The meet continues Saturday.
