Linn-Benton hands baseball first division loss

EUGENE, OR - Lane split the home double-header against Linn-Benton on Saturday.  The Titans had a good showing in game one with a 13-7 win getting 5 innings from Dawson Phinney who pitched the win.  Shaun Boehm (pictured) showed up big with a double and homerun for 6 RBIs going 3-for-4, while Blake Montague went 3-for-3 with three singles.

Game two showed the Titans are human with an 8-4 loss.  Spencer Smith ended up getting the loss for the Titans, with Garrett Miller earning the win for the Roadrunners.  Smith did go 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs to help his cause.  The split puts the Titans at 13-5 overall and 7-1 in league play.  Their next game will be a double-header at home against Chemeketa (9-3, 7-3) on Tuesday, 4/17 @ 1pm.
