Lane wins title in OT

TACOMA — Gabby Heehn’s three-pointer with 20 seconds left in regulation forced overtime and Lane Community College outscored Clackamas 13-6 in the extra session to win 76-70 in the championship game of the Pierce Holiday Classic women’s basketball tournament on Sunday.

Marikah Wright led the Titans (9-1) with 23 points and nine rebounds and was named the tournament’s most valuable player.

Heehn finished with 19, Tori Mahaffie had 10 points and 13 rebounds, and Shelby Snook had 11 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists.

Lane trailed 29-23 at halftime before rallying back in the second half against its Southern Region rival.
