Nicole Hannifan led four Lane Community College scorers with 15 points as the Titans won their own NWAACC Crossover women’s basketball tournament with an 84-54 victory over Yakima Valley on Sunday at the LCC gym.
Megan Shields, who was named MVP and was joined on the all-tournament team by Hannifan, added 12 points. Kersey Wilcox also had 12 points for Lane (11-0), and Danielle Schmidt had 10.
Meanwhile in Auburn, Wash., the Lane men shot 53 percent from the field to open a 46-23 halftime lead and coasted to the Green River Crossover championship with a 68-46 victory over the host Gators on Sunday.
Tyler Coleman, the tourney MVP, led the Titans (11-2) with 15 points and Levi Strandberg added 13. Alex MacNeil joined Coleman on the all-tournament team for LCC.
