Lane soccer advances to quarterfinals

Erin Satterfield had a goal and an assist and Samantha Schoene recorded her 10th shutout of the season as Lane Community College defeated Treasure Valley 3-0 in the first round of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges women’s soccer tournament Wednesday afternoon.

Hannah Doughty and Kynzie Ritchie also scored for the Titans, who advance to a quarterfinal game against Peninsula College in Port Angeles, Wash., on Saturday.

Satterfield scored in the sixth minute on an assist from Jodie Reoch. Satterfield then assisted on a score by Doughty in the 29th minute to give the Titans a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Ritchie combined with Alicia Beebe on a goal in the final minutes.
