Lane shutout of Storm earns playoff berth

Caitlin Castillo scored a goal and had an assist to lead Lane to a 3-0 victory over Chemeketa in NWAACC Southern Region women’s soccer on Wednesday at LCC.

The Titans (10-4-3, 8-4-1 Southern Region) clinched a playoff berth with the victory.

Castillo scored the first goal of the game off a feed from McKynzie Ritchie in the 20th minute, and Jordan Havern added a goal off a pass from Sammy Gonyea shortly before halftime to give the Titans a 2-0 lead.

Castillo fed Courtney Fieldhouse in the 86th minute for Lane’s final goal.

Samantha Schoene had four saves to give Lane the shutout.
