Lane rolls into title game

LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Brittany May scored 20 points off the bench and Theresa Brown had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds in Lane Community College’s 105-39 women’s basketball victory over Peninsula in the Pierce Tournament semifinals on Saturday.

Sarah Brolsma Whitfield added 16 points and MaKenzie Ficek and Kristen Huff had 12 and 11, respectively, for the Titans (5-0), who had a 71-45 edge in rebounds.

Lane will play Skagit Valley at 3 p.m. today for the tournament championship in a rematch of last year’s NWAACC title game won by the Titans.
