Lane men second and women fifth at Mike Hodges meet

OREGON CITY — The Lane Community College men’s cross country team finished second on Saturday in the Mike Hodges Invitational at Clackamas Community College.

The Titans finished with 49 points to 43 for Treasure Valley and had five runners place in the top-15 scoring positions, led by Elmer Shelevy who was fourth in 25 minutes, 52.70 seconds.

Also for Lane was Ronald Graham in eighth (26:04.90), Carlos Camacho in 12th (26:22.90), Ricardo Castillo in 13th (26:25.90) and Johnathon Serna in 16th (26:45.10).

James Breen from Clark College won the 8,000-meter race in 25:16.90.

In the women’s race, Lane was fourth overall with 95 points, far behind Corban, which scored 26.

Madison Schell was the top finisher for the Titans, finishing the 5,000-meter race in 19:19.20 for fifth place.

Danielle Girard (12th, 19:45.60), Kendall Maslen (19th, 20:08.90), Mitra LeBuhn (32nd, 20:38.20) and Hannah Boozer (45th, 21:41.30) also scored for Lane.
