Lane gets rallies for pair of wins

COOS BAY — The Lane Community College baseball team picked up a pair of dramatic wins in a doubleheader sweep of Southwestern Oregon Community College Saturday afternoon.

The Titans (14-12, 5-7 NWAACC) overcame a 5-0 deficit in the opener to win 12-5. Matt Myrmo went 3-for-6 with three RBIs for Lane, while Quinn Peck was 3-for-5 with an RBI and Kyle Hoover went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

In game two, the Titans broke a 1-1 tie with a three-run seventh inning to win 4-1.

Shay Huskey hit the go-ahead sacrifice fly for Lane in the seventh, and Myrmo and Hoover added RBI hits as well.

Chris Reed allowed just the one run in six innings of work.
