ROSEBURG — Shelby Snook had 15 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort as Lane fell 85-66 to league-leading Umpqua in a NWAACC Southern Region women’s basketball game on Wednesday night.

The Titans (19-5, 6-2) outscored the Riverhawks 44-42 in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a 21-point first-half deficit.

Tori Mahaffie added 12 points and seven rebounds for Lane. Gabby Heehn finished with 11 points and Joleen Chanco scored 10 for the Titans.

Umpqua’s Kyndal Charleston led all scorers with 25 points, including six three-pointers. Ashli Payne scored 18 and Kayla Bice had 17 for the Riverhawks (18-5, 7-1), who won their ninth straight game.
