The Men's overall champion Freshman Cesar Perez, Sophomore Travis Stevens (3rd), and Lady Titan MaCayla Claver (6th) finished with All-American honors, while nine out thirteen Titan runners ran season best at the NWAACC Championships in Battle Ground, WA on Saturday.  The Women's team finished third with 76 points behind team champion Everett (23) and Spokane (55).  Behind Claver's 19:11 performance, Alayna Oleksa (11) and Andrea Gruber (13) ran a smart and gutsy race crossing the line in 19:42 and 19:48.  Rita Krantz (21) was Lane's fourth runner in 20:25, while Anne Hagy (26) and Shey Haack (27) rounded out the women's team both running 20:34 respectively.

The Men's squad also finished third with 95 points behind team champion Spokane (24) and Everett (52).  Men's Champion Perez had a tactile performance and strong kick to win a tight race in 25:25 with Stevens right behind in 25:30.  Sterling Teall (16) was the third Titan in 26:51, who was then followed by a very strong run of 27:20 from Michael Bellamy (22).  Erik Bateham (53), Brent Ryberg (58), and Luke Weiss (70) held on to finish strong in 29:25, 29:27, and 37:44.

"What a performance today by all of our runners", said first year Head Coach John Scholl.  "We've been training for this race all season and our kids showed up today and executed their race strategies perfectly!  As a coach, I couldn't ask for anything else after seeing all the kids that came away with season and/or personal best today!!"
