Lane Community College announces the signing of Shane Quarterley from Thurston High School

Lane Community College announces the signing of Shane Quarterley from Thurston High School in Springfield, OR. Shane has been a 3-year varsity starter for the Colts. He was honorable mention all-state as an infielder during his junior campaign and hit .500 with 15 doubles while going 6-0 on the mound and posting a mere 1.27 ERA.

Coach Blunt on Shane: Shane is a dynamic 2-way player that can play both corner spots and catch. He is already a mid 80’s arm and has the potential to be legit closer with a power sinker. He will have the opportunity to help on both sides of the ball as a potential reliever and a middle of the order bat. We are extremely excited with the opportunity to help develop his skills and watch him grow as a player.
