Heehn helps Lane women bounce back

SALEM — Gabby Heehn scored 24 points and hit six three-pointers and Bre DuBois added 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Lane to an 80-63 victory over Chemeketa, sewing up the NWAC Southern Region title for the Titans on Saturday.

Lane (26-1, 13-1), which suffered its first loss of the season against Umpqua on Wednesday, wasted no time in taking over Saturday’s game, jumping out to a 55-39 lead by halftime.
