
Erica Jensen hired as Lane Community College women’s soccer coach
07/30/2014 09:55EUGENE, Ore.— Lane Community College Athletic Director Greg Sheley has announced the hiring of Ercia Jensen as the Lane’s new head Women’s Soccer coach. Jensen takes over for Dave Ellis, who recently resigned to spend more time with his family.
“We are excited to have Erica be a part of Lane Athletics,” said Sheley. “She brings knowledge and experience to our Women’s Soccer program. We are confident Erica will do an outstanding job for us.”
Jensen has previously coached at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Washington University in St. Louis as well as at the Club and Olympic Development Program levels in Nevada.
As a player, Jensen started her career at California State University, Fullerton, then transferred to UNLV for the remainder of her National Collegiate Athletic Association career. At UNLV, Erica was a two-year captain and helped the Rebels to three consecutive Mountain West Conference championships and three NCAA tournament appearances.
Erica currently coaches with the Eugene Timbers at the U-10, U-14, U-15 and U-16 levels and also serves as the director for the “Little Timbers” youth program.
Erica has a master’s degree in sports education leadership.
