Chemeketa takes two from Titans in baseball

SALEM — Grady Wood, a sophomore right-hander from Junction City, pitched a five-hitter and struck out eight in a 3-2 victory to start Chemeketa’s doubleheader baseball sweep of Lane Community College on Tuesday.

Michael Lowe homered in the opener for the Storm, who also took the second game 10-3 as A.J. Royal and Travis Setere each went 3-for-5. Jake Boyd, a freshman right-hander from Oakridge, was the winning pitcher for Chemeketa.
