
Breanna DuBois, Washington forward signs with Lady Titans
06/06/2014 14:56Breanna DuBois, 5'11" forward from Mark Morris High School in Longview, Washington has signed a letter of intent with the women's basketball team for the 2014-2015 season. Breanna averaged 7.9 points per game, 8.8 rebounds per game and 2.3 blocks per game for the Washington 2A state runner-up team. Breanna's Mark Morris team won the Washington 2A state championship in 2013 as well.
Breanna was selected first team All-Greater St. Helen's League this season and played in two all-star contests, one in Vancouver and one in Longview where she was the game's most valuable player scoring 15 points and grabbing 15 rebounds to win the honor. Coach Rooklidge, her coach at Mark Morris had this to say about Breanna, " she is probably one of the best girls’ basketball players to play at Mark Morris and cited numerous records she set, her work ethic and dedication to the program which was instrumental in the development of a average high school team into a state contender and championship team."
Coach Sheley is also effusive with his praise of Breanna saying ". We are so excited that Breanna has decided to become a Titan next year. Breanna has been a consistent performer for a championship program, providing rebounding, scoring and defense during her last two years. Moreover, we saw a good student, someone who works hard and wants to win! Breanna is driven to become a better player and make her team better, which is exactly the type of player we look for."
