Boyer earns NWAC honor

The Lane forward is the Southern Region player of the year

Lane’s Taylor Boyer was named the Southern Region player of the year for the regional champion Titans and was one of five players honored as the NWAC released its all-conference women’s soccer teams on Tuesday.

Boyer, a forward, was sixth in the NWAC in points with 41 and had 17 goals and six assists.

She was joined on the all-league team by midfielder/defender Anna Goodrie, and defenders Mikaila Riddle, Emily Walker and Mecca Rae-Rouse.

The Titans (15-2-2) are in the NWAC semifinals for the second time in school history, opening with a semifinal game against Peninsula on Saturday in Tukwila, Wash. The championship game will be Sunday.
