
Baseball beats Bruins times two

EUGENE, OR - The Lane Titans get two more wins in a double-header against George Fox University in a cool day with rain and sun at the University of Oregon's PK Park. In game one the score was tied 1-1 after six innings before the Titans got one run in both the 7th and 8th to win 3-1. Colben McGuire pitched one inning to get the win, and Zach Kayser (pictured) got the save. Shaun Boehm had a big day at the plate going 3-for-4 with one run.
Game two had the same outcome, with the Titans pulling out an 8-4 victory. Dawson Phinney was the winning pitcher and Zach Kayser got his second save on the day. Several Titans had some impressive hitting performances with Elliot Sherrel going 3-for-3 with 4 RBIs. Spenser Smith also went 3-for-3 with a double, while Daniel Katayama went 2-for-3 with a double and triple. The Titans head to Tacoma, WA to play Bellevue and Tacoma on Saturday, 3/24. The following day they'll play Pierce and Bellevue in Lakewood, WA.
